A SIX-YEAR-OLD street dancing sensation is celebrating her achievements at an international competition.
Ria Hunte wowed the judges at the United Dance Organisation World Championships in Blackpool last weekend.
The youngster, from Great Lever, came second in the undereight category, where she was up against 60 contestants.
Her father, Jason Hunte, aged 31, said: “We are so proud of her.
“She has made excellent progress since she started dancing.
“She has got a real passion for it, she wakes up doing cartwheels around the house.”
Ria trains at Sunshine Studios in Newport Street, Bolton, which has recently been opened by 24-year-old Josh Ricketts.
He said: “It was a big competition with 2,500 entrants from all over the place.
“Ria worked really hard and did well at the competition.
“We only entered the competition last minute with a few weeks to rehearse.
“We did not win any category, but our under- 14 team and under-17 team both picked up trophies alongside Ria.”
