AN internet savvy mother has reached the finals of an award scheme for parent bloggers.

Ghostwritermummy, Susanne Remic’s blog, was launched shortly after her second child, Luka, was born, about 17 months ago.

Having always enjoyed writing, Mrs Remic, a part-time primary school teacher, aged 33, from Bradshaw, started writing about her son’s traumatic birth.

She went into labour before the date scheduled for a Caesarean section and was put under general anaesthetic.

When she woke up, she thought she had died and her baby did not belong to her.

Mrs Remic has since blogged most days and has been chosen for the most inspiring blogger category of the Mum and Dad (MAD) Blog Awards.

Mrs Remic, who also has six-year-old daughter Eva, will find out if she has won in September.

She said: “I would love to win, it would be really amazing. I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to win.

“I quickly found that writing about my experiences was not only therapeutic but a fantastic way of providing support to others.”

The winner will receive dinner and an overnight stay at a Hotel du Vin plus a bag of Disney bluray films for the children.
