A Service for Peace

On Friday September 21st at 7.30pm, St. John's Church, Farnworth, will be hosting a service to mark Internation Peace One Day. The theme will be 'Peace in our lives, in our community and in our world'. Everyone who attends will be encouraged to think of one or two things they could do to promote peace. It could be something as simple as smiling at a stranger or saying 'hello' to someone in the queue at Asda. They say 'Charity begins at home'. So, we believe, does Peace. Do come and join us.

On Sunday September 9th, St. John's Farnworth is celebrating its 181st birthday. A special all-age service will take place at 10am and will include a cross made from Bolton News cuttings that church members made at a recent Parish Weekend Away. Do come and join us!
