A BOLTON factory worker has died after he was hit by a car while walking on the motorway.
Craig Robinson, aged 31, was killed when he was hit by a silver Ford Focus on the southbound carriageway of the M6 near junction 29 at Bamber Bridge.
Mr Robinson, from Clayton le Woods, worked at Halbro Sportswear in Horwich.
His mum, 53-year-old Shirley Dewhurst, said: “He had a fantastic sense of humour, and he always joked he got it from me. I miss him so much and despite him being 31, he will always be my baby.”
Craig, who had two sisters, was a Manchester United fan and also loved wrestling.
He was single and had no children. The accident happened at 3.50am on Saturday.
It is not known why Mr Robinson was in the road, and police are investigating the circumstances.
Anyone with information can call police on 101.
