POLICE have issued descriptions of two burglars who targeted Over Hulton Conservative Club in Bolton this week.
The thieves struck between 11.20pm on Sunday and 3.40am on Monday at the club in St Helens Road.
Police discovered a manhole cover had been removed and the wires leading to the alarm system had been cut.
Two men stole a safe from the club and caused damage to fruit machines and two metal shutters.
It is believed they escaped with £5,000 and caused £1,000 worth of damage.
The men were white, stocky, aged in their late 30s and about 5ft 10in tall.
One was wearing a striped grey and black hooded top and the other was wearing a dark jacket and white trainers.
It is believed they escaped in a silver Vauxhall Astra.
