YOU can certainly count on the youngsters of Harper Green when it comes to solving maths problems.
The Farnworth school held a numeracy week to inject creativity into the subject to highlight its importance both as a subject and in everyday life.
The week included a balloon race on to which pupils attached mathematical problems they had created for the public to complete and return.
Games were given a maths twist, with pupils enjoying a game of factor cricket, where instead of hitting sixes they scored points by running to and touching with the bat the right factors of a number called out.
Pupils also enjoyed a game of countdown and other fun and games to reinforce their maths knowledge.
