YOUNG artists found themselves in the frame as they proudly showcased their work in a professional exhibition.

Ladybridge Primary School staged a whole school art exhibition to which parents were invited.

The artworks ranged from those inspired by Picasso to self portraits and pieces depicting fireworks night.

It is the first time the school has staged a exhibition feature the work of all the classes.

Headteacher Colin Watson said: "The parents loved it, they were impressed by the quality of the work and children showed off their work to them.

"The children were really excited to see their work on display."

He added: "Exhibitions like this inspire children and show them what is achievable."
