YOUNG musicians from Ladybridge Community Primary School are hitting all the right notes after performing at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall with the Halle Orchestra.
The talented youngsters from year six have been working hard since October with members of the orchestra learning to write and perform their own piece of music using percussion instruments for two performances at the prestigious venue.
They have also taken part in design workshops to create costumes to wear at the performances, called Halle in the Sun, which has attracted a total audience of 2,000 people.
The year group was helped by their teacher Chris Gavin and teaching assistant Ann Rowland, as well as music subject leader Robyn Hoolihan.
The first performance on Wednesday went down a storm while the next is scheduled for Tuesday, February 2.
Mrs Hoolihan said: "I am so proud of the pupils' achievements and the level of commitment that they put in to the project, which was reflected in the first performance. Hopefully the second will be even better.
"It has been a unique opportunity for them all to get the feel of performing in a fantastic venue."
