CHILDREN held a carnival parade through Bolton Museum – wearing headdresses they had made themselves.
The procession was part of the monthly Super Saturday event – this month with a carnival theme – held by Bolton’s Library and Museum Service.
Youngsters also took part in a free samba drumming workshop and made their own musical instruments, as well as enjoying the regular fish feeding and story telling sessions.
Emma Ali, collections access officer said: “The idea behind Super Saturday is to get children and families into the museum and engage with our collections in a fun and different way.”
“This month we are showing the children some of our collection of stuffed tropical birds as part of that process of introducing them to what we have got here at the museum.”
Super Saturdays take place at Bolton Library and Museum on the last Saturday of every month.
