A SPECTACULAR night of music brought an annual festival to a fitting finale.
The last concert of the Bolton Schools' Music Association's annual festival was held at Victoria Hall, Knowsley Street, on Friday.
A total of 56 schools took part in five concerts throughout the week, with about 400 pupils taking to the stage each evening watched by proud family and friends.
Trish Hughes, the association's chairman, hailed the 47th annual celebration of music and singing a great success.
She said: "Every single night has been absolutely fantastic."
The schools which brought the festival to a close on Friday were St Stephen and All Martyrs', St Teresa's, Washacre, Clevelands Preparatory School, St Peter's in Farnworth, St Thomas of Canterbury, Church Road, Red Lane, St Catherine's CE Primary, St Mary's in Horwich and Egerton Primary.
