YOUNGSTERS have triumphed in a competition aimed at promoting 'safe surfing' on the internet.
Children across Bolton were invited to create posters to demonstrate how best to stay safe while using the internet.
The overall winners were judged to be pupils from Gaskell Primary School, who were delighted to come out on top.
As a reward for their win, youngsters spent a day using the computer facilities at the Bolton SICT Unit, and the school also won an ICT 'goodie bag' including a microphone and a dictaphone.
Stacy Thistlethwaite, the school's ICT co-ordinator, said: "With the changes to the curriculum and the raised importance of children learning how to stay safe on-line.
"We felt that by encouraging schools to get involved this was an ideal opportunity to raise the awareness and importance of safeguarding and on-line learning."
