GIRL Guides from Bolton put on their best impressions of Elsa from Disney favourite Frozen as they 'Let it Go' at a musical extravaganza.

More than 400 performers, helpers and volunteers took part in the annual singing event at Victoria Hall, in which Guides from five divisions in Lancashire took to the stage to perform songs from popular musicals.

Girls from Bury South performed The Lion King, Farnworth did Mama Mia, Bolton Le Moors did Frozen, Winter Hill did Grease, Tone did Joseph and the Technicolour Dream Coat, and The Trefoil Guild performed The Wizard of Oz.

As guest and VIPs arrived, singer Lucy Mullin entertained the audience with a selection of songs from the musicals, and David Smart presided as master of ceremonies to ensure the show ran smoothly.

County commissioner Susan Smart said: "It was a celebration of music, fun and community for our girls and young women of the Lancashire Border Guiding."

The show took six months to prepare before the girls took to the stage.

Sally Anne Schilfer, spokesman for Lancashire Border Girl Guiding, added: "The show was a resounding success and was a fantastic coming together of the community."
