AFZAL Patel and Emma Gray have plenty to smile about after earning places to study dentistry.
The pair from Canon Slade both received offers from four of their university choices.
Teachers say this is normally unheard of for a course like dentistry.
Afzal from Bolton is to study at Birmingham University and Emma, who lives in Turton, is to study at Manchester University after both achieving A*s and As in their results
Alan Mottershead, head of Canon Slade, said: “Canon Slade School is celebrating very good A-level results once again this summer.
"Congratulations to our Year 13 students on their successes and for all of the hard work and commitment which has produced these excellent results.
"We have been very grateful to this year group too for their wider leadership of the school and for their many contributions to our community — in drama and dance, in sports, in music, in classroom support and in so many other ways.
" They have made a big difference to us and we will miss them greatly.”
