FOLLOWING the hit series Educating Yorkshire, a local school will be appearing on the popular fly-on-the-wall documentary next week.

Educating Greater Manchester starts on August 31 and viewers will have a chance to see life in Harrop Fold School in Little Hulton.

The school is the latest to invite television cameras into the classroom and corridors.

The Channel 4 show is described as a "warm and honest exploration of what life's like for students and their teachers at Harrop Fold, a secondary school at the heart of a changing community".

The first episode focuses on staff and pupils responding to the shock of the terrorist attack at the Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena in May and follows the new friendship in Year Seven between Rani, who recently arrived from Syria, and old-before-his-time Jack.

The programme airs on August 31 at 9pm.
