BOLTON Community College students raised more than £700 for Canine Partners — a charity specialising in providing trained dog assistance to people with disabilities.
A total of 37 visually impaired and deaf students, 15 members of staff and three guide dogs raised the money by completing a three mile walk around Jumbles Reservoir.
Every year students put their best feet forward in support of charitable causes.
Malcolm Wells from Canine Partners visited the college and was handed a cheque from Carol Bannerman, Bolton Community College’s Principal, and met some of the students who helped raise the money.
Mrs Bannerman said: “I am very proud of our students who gave up their time to raise this fantastic sum of money for a very worthwhile cause. A big well done to all those involved.”
