Here's our guide to what you can do in and around Bolton this weekend.
1. This weekend is the last chance to catch the Octagon Theatre's festive show. Go down the rabbit hole and into the bonkers world of Alice in Wonderland on Friday evening or Saturday.
2. Be entertained while raising money for good causes at the Mayor's Charity Variety show. There will be singing, dancing and show-stopping performances on the stage of the Albert Halls on Saturday night.
3. Watch a show named Time Magazine's top theatrical experience of the year for 2014. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time ends at The Lowry, Salford Quays, on Saturday.
4. Take part in a magical Harry Potter-themed scavenger hunt. Lancashire Wildlife Trust will host the event at The Hive, Moss Bank Park, between 11am and 1pm on Saturday.
5. It is January, it is cold and payday seems a lifetime away - so stay in instead. The new series of The Voice UK starts on Saturday night, with new coach Rita Ora (below), and other telly picks include Harry Hill's Stars in Their Eyes, gripping French crime drama Spiral, with films on the box including Mamma Mia!, Bad Teacher and The Other Boleyn Girl.
