HER date said he would walk all the way to Bolton from Bristol to take her out again.

But Aimee-Jayne Cavanagh says she is still looking for her Mr Right following her date on the Isle of Fernando, after she was set up by Bolton comedian Paddy McGuinness on ITV show Take Me Out.

Viewers tuned in on Saturday night to see how the 29-year-old "van driver", a former Turton High School pupil, got on when Adam from Bristol chose to take her on a date.

The couple went for a meal and cocktail-making masterclass, in which Aimee-Jayne created a new drink, The Faceplanter, and sprayed alcohol across the bar.

Unfortunately she told The Bolton News she felt her and Adam did not have the right chemistry to start a relationship back in the UK.

Aimee-Jayne, who lived in Horwich and Blackrod before moving to Blackburn for work, said: "There was no click there really.

“There was a little bit of a height issue because in heels, I'm about 6ft 2in and he's about 5ft 9 or 10in.

"When I stood next to him, I was towering over him, which was a little bit awkward, but not a massive deal.

"It just ended up being a friends thing."

Aimee-Jayne said she enjoyed the whole experience, adding she only applied for the show — in which girls are asked to leave their light on for a man who tries to win their affections – for a laugh.

"I'm not sure if I would do it again, but I'm definitely glad I did and I've made some friends for life”, she said.

"Adam is lovely, he is just a really genuine, nice guy which was exactly what I was hoping for.

"I'm really not into guys that are extrovert, I don't like selfies and all that type of thing.

"He just seemed like a really genuine down-to-earth guy.

"I think I knew he was going to pick me, just from the way he looked at me during the questions.

"I was just relaxed about it."

She added: "I wouldn't turn down Mr Right if he came knocking at my door."
