RADIO star Travis Hesford is set to 'dance on air' after signing up for this year's Bolton Hospice Strictly Learn To Dance.
The Bolton FM volunteer has been part of the technical team at radio station for the past three years and signed up after hearing about the competition live on air.
The 27-year-old said: “This has been a fantastic opportunity to have a taste of the Strictly experience.
"I’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning to dance and can’t wait to get on the dance floor.”
Last year the event raised £19,000 towards patient care.
Competitors learn three dances across 10 weekly lessons donated by A Touch of Class in Little Lever.
The training for the couples will culminate in the grand final at The Whites Hotel on Saturday March 7.
Keith Harris, business development manager at Bolton FM, said: “We put a shout out to the people of Bolton to take part in the Strictly Learn To Dance competition. We had a great response and are thrilled that our very own Travis is taking part and supporting Bolton Hospice’s fundraising efforts.”
Tickets are still available and include a hot supper and a whole host of entertainment throughout the evening.
Bolton FM Friday morning radio breakfast show presenters Andrew Dickson and Phil Ashcroft will be there on the night as Masters of Ceremonies
The radio station is also providing technical support and a DJ service.
