STARS from the world of television and sport have joined together to make a music video to promote netball inspired Bolton comedian Peter Kay.

The video features Manchester United stars Gary and Phil Neville — whose sister Tracey is coach for netball team Manchester Thunder — and Paul Scholes who take part in a spoof of the Farnworth comic's 2005 Comic Relief charity number one single with Tony Christie, Is This The Way To Amarillo?

The footballers are joined by current England footballers Toni Duggan, from Manchester United, and Chelsea's Eniola Aluko, as well as Coronation Street actor and former Canon Slade pupil Katy Cavanagh, and her co-stars Brooke Vincent and Hayley Tamaddon.

It has been made as a special promotional video ahead of the Manchester Thunder’s Superleague semi final match at the Manchester Arena on Saturday.

Brooke, who plays Sophie Webster on the show, said: “I am so proud of the Thunder girls. This is massive for them and for netball and they are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

"This is not just great for netball but for women’s sport too.

"When you are that good it will be so nice to have all those people cheering you on. It’s a great fun family event.”
