SCORES of people flocked to Bolton Parish Church for its annual open day on Saturday.
Families enjoyed tours of the tower, organ recitals as well as a vintage car display in the grounds of the church in Churchgate, Bolton.
Church warden John Walsh said: "The day went very well — we have had lots of people visiting and there have been about 20 to 30 people in the church at all times throughout the day.
“It’s been busy and there has been a lot of interest in the building with lots of photographers walking around.
“Despite the weather there have been a lot of tours of the tower.
“Visitors have also been able to catch up on the latest work being carried out on the underfloor heating system.
“We have made sure that the church has always been available while we carry out the works and although it was very dusty last night it has been cleaned and looked lovely for visitors.”
