1. The Family Way, the Octagon Theatre, Saturday at 2pm and 7.30pm
Set in 1960s Bolton, with many references to the town throughout, the Bill Naughton play follows optimistic newlyweds Arthur and Jenny Fitton, who are young, in love, and excited to embark on the rest of their lives together.
2. Comic-con, Premier Suite, Macron Stadium, Horwich, from 10am
Time to dig out your favourite superhero costume – Comic-con is returning to Bolton. A host of famous faces will take centre stage at the annual convention which celebrates sci-fi, comics and film – including Doctor Who monster performer Jon Davey.
3. Eagley Cricket Club fun day, Saturday from 2pm
A day of fun and games. Face painters, gladiator ring, bouncy castle, stalls and more. Later in the evening people can take part in casino games, music, food and a fully licensed bar.
4. Gallus Cooper – Alice Cooper tribute, the Railway Venue, Bromley Cross, Saturday from 8pm
The ultimate Alice Cooper experience. Gallus even uses the same snake and electric chair just the real Mr Cooper. Expect confetti canons, gore and strait jackets galore.
5. Antique and Collectors Fair, Macron Stadium, Sunday from 9.30am to 4.30pm
More than 320 stalls will be standing at the giant Antique & Collectors Fair selling thousands and thousands of items will be standing at this spectacular event. It takes place inside the giant exhibition hall.
