An Enemy of the People is a compelling and gripping play, directed by David Thacker, that explores the conflict between the need to stand up for the truth when faced with the political and economic pressures that drive the agendas of those in power.

3. Pride Live, Blind Tiger, Nelson Square, Saturday, 2pm until late
The all day event in support of the town’s first Pride event, featuring local acts including Purge, Yiyan, Breaking Waves, Holly Jenkinson and Stuck Between Stories.
4. Buzzcocks, Manchester Academy, Saturday from 7.30pm
Twenty five years since the Buzzcocks played in Manchester Academy for its opening night, the band, which formed in Bolton, is back to mark the venue's anniversary celebrations.
5. An Evening of Burlesque, Opera House, Manchester, Saturday, 8pm
For the very first time ever – the biggest burlesque legends from around the world are united on one stage as Britain’s No1 burlesque show goes global. Includes a performance from Leigh-born jazz starlet Emma Divine.
