PHOENIX Nights fans may be devastated to hear that there are no plans to make a film of the hit TV series any time soon.

Bolton funnyman and star of the show Paddy McGuinness confirmed the news on ITV chat show Loose Women earlier this week.

The Take Me Out host told the panel that the all-star cast, including Peter Kay, Dave Spikey and Justin Moorhouse, were too busy with other commitments at the moment.

He said: "That's not happening let me tell you. Not that I know of.

“We did Phoenix Nights live, which we loved and we raised five and half million quid doing that run of shows in Manchester.

"It was absolutely fantastic, it was great to get all the cast back together and we loved it. We would love to do something, but it's just time."
