STRICTLY Come Dancing hopeful Georgia May Foote has sparked worries among her hoards of fans by tweeting about an illness which has plagued her this week.

The former Coronation Street actress is hoping to secure a place in the final of the dance show this weekend with dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

She said on Wednesday: "I honestly better get well for Saturday #whynow."

She followed that up with a more reassuring retweet from Giovanni, who said: "What a hard week! Second day of training but my partner is still sick! @georgiafoote don't worry.. We will be fine! #teamGG"

The 24-year-old star, who lives in Bolton, narrowly avoided being booted out the BBC1 show last weekend after she was saved by all four judges in the dance off. Instead, it was Helen George that left the competition.

The remaining five couples will return this weekend where they will each perform two dances in the hope of reaching the final, which takes place on December 19.

Still in the running are Georgia and Giovanni, The Wanted's Jay McGuiness and his partner Aliona Vilani, EastEnders actress Kellie Bright and her partner Kevin Clifton, TV presenter Anita Rani and her partner Gleb Savchenko, and BBC broadcaster Katie Derham and her partner Anton Du Beke.
