A RED Hot Chili Peppers tribute band will open a new rock venue in Bolton town centre tonight.
The Hot Red Chili Peppers will perform at Kico Rocks, a new night run by the Flying Flute and Kico Club in Bradshawgate.
The event has been launched by Ray Smith, the former landlord of rock venue Moses Gate which closed last month after it had fell into disrepair.
Mr Smith said: "I will be putting live music in the same way as I did at Moses Gate, so hopefully we will bring the crowd with us.
"I am really looking forward to the new challenge. I love putting on live music — it's my life, so I would be devastated if I had to stop."
Doors open at 8.30pm, and the band will be on stage at 9.45pm. The night will run until 4am.
Tickets cost £7 on the door.
