There will entertainment by the Wingates Band, as well as dancing shows.

Families can have their photo taken in a studio.

Children can enjoy plenty of games, take part in competition and have their face painted.

Richard Cooke, senior minister at The Bridge Church which organises the family fun day, said: "Bolton’s Big Day Out is an event we look forward to each year now. It’s is a great way to bring the community together, celebrate life and have some fun. Everyone is welcome.

"Through the event, we also aim to raise funds for some of our community projects."

Steve Tilbrook, event organiser, added: "We’re closing Bury New Rd to link the Bridge’s site with Bolton Parish Church School, creating a larger area.

"This means we can also make the event bigger."

Admission to the event is free. Visit the Bolton’s Big Day Out Facebook page for more details.
