CULTURE vultures are invited to enjoy the next season of Spring Live Literature.

The popular series featuring writers returns next week at Bolton Museum.

The first event of the new season will feature two award winning artists.

Ben Wilkinson, Lecturer of Creative Writing at the University of Bolton, is the winner of numerous poetry prizes including a Northern Writers’ Award, the Poetry Business Competition and an Arts Council England writer’s grant.

He has also written reviews and publications for the Guardian.

He will be reading from his new book of poems, Way More than Luck.

Joining him will be Suzannah Evans from Sheffield, who will be giving a reading.

Her pamphlet Confusion Species was a winner in the 2012 Poetry Business book and pamphlet competition, judged by Carol Ann Duffy.

Suzannah has had poems published in The Rialto, The North Magma and Poetry Review and her poem Helpline has been Poem of the Week on the Guardian website. She is currently working on a collection of apocalyptic poems.

The events are staged by The University of Bolton and Bolton Central Library working in partnership.

Previous Live Literature events have been popular and have featured Michael Schmidt OBE FRSL studied at Harvard and at Wadham College, Oxford University and crime writer Cath Staincliffe. It will take place on Tuesday, February 27. Admission is free and the event starts at 6.30pm.
