FOR those about to rock, Bolton salutes you!

Boltfest, the town’s annual tribute to the giants of rock, returns this summer.

The fun-filled, free festival will take place in Queens Park on May 26 and 27 where thousands of music-lovers are expected to turn out for a celebration of all things rock ‘n’ roll.

And there should be something to please rock fans of every stripe with tributes to a range of musical heroes, lined up.

Acts will paying homage to a range of icons from Queen, David Bowie and Elvis, through to Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon and Metallica.

Festivalgoers will have choice of two music stages and there will also be several beer tents, food stalls, children’s activities and a VIP area.

The event proved a huge success last May and organiser Jools Taylor expects this year’s event to go one better.

He said: “The festival grows in popularity every year and tickets get snapped up earlier and earlier as each years rolls, We are warning attendees to grab tickets now as we predict them all to go very early and there will be no tickets available on the gates”.

Tickets are free but there is a booking fee of £3.50 and can be ordered online from boltfest.com or ticketline.co.uk
