IF music be the food of love then there’s a veritable feast coming up at the Albert Halls Bolton.

The venue has announced a packed programme of shows this year featuring the hits of chart toppers from The Bee Gees and Abba to Little Mix and George Michael.

Tickets sold out quickly for ‘Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers’ on April 6 but there is still time to snap up seats for the ‘World Famous Elvis Show’ on April 7.

It stars Chris Connor and his 12-piece band, voted in one poll by fans worldwide as the best tribute show to the King of Rock ’n’ Roll.

Rachel Sinnetta and her Rubber Band bring the music of one the most visionary and influential artists to the stage on May 10 — ‘Wuthering Heights : The Music of Kate Bush’ celebrates the singer, who made a hugely-anticipated live comeback in 2014 with her first concerts for decades.

Kate Bush’s much-loved albums include ‘Hounds Of Love’ and ‘The Kick Inside’ — featuring the tracks ‘Running Up That Hill’ and ‘Wuthering Heights’ — and the very experimental ‘The Dreaming’, ‘Aerial’ and ‘50 Words For Snow’.

Younger pop fans can catch the tribute act ‘Little Mix Magic’ on September 9.

The tribute to the music of the Bee Gees features other Gibb brothers’ hits like ‘Night Fever’, ‘Stayin’ Alive’, ‘More Than a Woman’ and ‘How Deep is Your Love?’ on September 10.

The Magic of Motown can be enjoyed on September 13 and ‘Walk Like a Man’ on September 15, which takes audiences on a journey through the career of the incredible Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Other shows include the George Michael tribute ‘Fastlove’ on October 4, ‘Abbamania’ on November 1 and ‘The Matt Munro Story’ on November 8.

Assistant Director for Community Services, Donna Ball, said: “We have a strong tradition of music shows at the Albert Halls and it is great to see this continuing since our re-opening last year after a £6.5 million refurbishment.

“With so much on offer, there is bound to be something which will prove a hit with music fans whatever their tastes.”
