NATE Travis is set to make his debut in the ring — in memory of his wrestler brother.

Mr Travis, who is the younger brother of wrestler Dom — ring name Kastor LeVay — will appear along side fighters such as Joey Hayes, Cyanide, Ashton Smith, The Cause, New British Champion and El Ligero in a charity match tomorrow.

The night will see the singles debut of Nate, aged 30, who has been trained up by Alex Shane at Futureshock Wrestling in Manchester.

Dom, from Farnworth, tragically took his own life in April, 2012, aged 31, and now his brother wants to carry on the family name in the sport.

The Dom Travis memorial event — entitled A Night to Remember — will see a number of Grand Pro Wrestlers take to the ring at The Rose Club in Atherton Road, Hindley, to raise money for the mental health charity Mind.

Mr Travis, also from Farnworth, said: “Friday is my debut wrestling match and I can’t wait to get into the ring. I want to follow in the footsteps of my brother Dom, who was a fantastic fighter.

“I always looked up to him when we were growing up and this is my way of carrying on his legacy.”
