GENEROUS market traders raised more than £1,300 to help a brave young boy living with an agonising skin condition complete his bucket list.

Stallholders hosted a fun day at the market to raise money for eight-year-old Johnson Fold boy Rhys Williams, who suffers from epidermolysis bullosa (EB), which causes painful skin blistering and leads to open sores.

A bouncy castle, hook-a-duck, darts game and coconut stand were among the attractions on offer, as the traders raised £1,343 for Rhys’ bucket list.

Phil Payne, a stallholder and manager of Farnworth Indoor Market, said: “It was brilliant, everybody enjoyed doing it for Rhys.

“We know he has this bucket list of wishes, including going on holiday.

“Rhys was able to be there all day and he absolutely loved it.”

The Johnson Fold Primary School pupil’s bucket list includes treating his sister Michaela, aged 11, to a day being a princess and going to Spain on holiday.

One wish which has already come to pass was to see his parents Tanya Moores and Mark Williams marry, which happened on February 28.
