A CAR fire that spread to wheelie bins and damaged a building is being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters were called to Fletcher Street Motors in Farnworth at about 3am today after a scrap car was set alight.
They tackled the blaze quickly, spending an hour at the scene, but the car was destroyed in the blaze.
Watch manager Paul Harrison said: “The blaze is being treated as deliberate.
“The incident could have been a lot of worse - the fire had spread to a number of wheelie bins and to the guttering of the garage."
He urged people not to store their wheelie bins close to buildings.
