TWO men were arrested after a police chase ended in a stolen van crashing in Farnworth this afternoon.
Shortly before 1.50pm police requested a white van to stop on Plodder Lane, believing it to have been stolen.
The van sped away and a short pursuit ensued, with police following the vehicle onto Redgate Way, before it later collided with a stationary car.
Greater Manchester Police's traffic unit reported the crash happening on Bolton Road, near to Hall Lane, which was then closed in both directions.
The van had been stolen from outside an address in St Clare’s Terrace, Horwich, on Monday August 3, after two men broke into a house and stole the keys.
A house on Lever Park, Horwich was also broken into at around 12.45pm on Friday August 7.
Two men, aged 27 and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
One is being treated in hospital for a cut to the hand and the other remains in police custody for questioning.
