Police were called after a schoolgirl, aged 14, was knocked down on her way to school
A TEENAGER was knocked down on her way to school this morning.
The 14-year-old girl was hit by a silver Lexus in Harrowby Street, Farnworth, at about 8am.
It is believed the girl may have stepped out in the road.
The girl was suffering from a minor head injury and grazes.
She was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital for checks, but has now been discharged.
The driver was not arrested and the incident is currently being treated as an accident.
Police are still investigating.
The incident was not caused by the cold weather, police said.
