THE regeneration of Farnworth town centre will be the main topic of discussion at an area forum meeting tomorrow night.
Residents can have their say on continuing delays to plans for a new shopping precinct on the site of the town’s former market, which is more than a year behind schedule, and hear from their ward councillors.
The project was due to be completed in 2016, but developers St Modwen are yet to even begin work at the site.
Last week, Bolton Council put Farnworth forward for a Greater Manchester-wide project to improve town centres. The meeting, at the Trinity Church in Higher Market Street, starts at 7pm, but will be preceded by a drop-in session from 6.30pm.
