CONCERNS have been raised over the state of a town centre road after what appear to be indentations in the surface were spotted by residents.
The depressions in the road are visible in Market Street, Farnworth, near the NatWest bank.
Residents believe the marks may have been caused by buses and are worried the road may have to close for repairs.
A spokesman for Bolton Council said: "We have enquired with United Utilities to see if they have a leak in their water main and they have found no fault so we will be carrying out further investigations.
"There is no indication it is any more than local surface movement.".
