DESIGN: How bungalows at Dean Close Green would look
CONTROVERSIAL plans to build more than a dozen new homes on a ‘cherished green space’ will go before planners next week.
Bolton at Home has applied to build 10 bungalows and three houses on land known Dean Close Green, in Farnworth.
The 1.17 hectare site would cover about half of the green.
Planning officers have recommended approval of the plans. But residents have campaigned against the development last year ward councillor Sue Haworth slammed the plans as ‘preposterous’.
