HEALTH chiefs will thrash out the pros and cons of radical proposals for hospital care at a public meeting.
Healthier Together will hold another Question Time-style debate tonight but this time open it up to all of Greater Manchester.
Residents will have the chance to question experts on the plans, which could see the Royal Bolton become one of five super-hospitals.
The debate starts at 7pm in the Renold Building at Manchester University.
Su Long, chief officer at NHS Bolton Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “I encourage Bolton people to go along to this event, if they can.
"The Healthier Together proposals are about hospitals and clinical commissioning groups in Greater Manchester working more closely together to improve care for patients.
"For this reason, a Greater Manchester-wide debate of this kind makes perfect sense and will be a good way to find out how these changes would work for our region as a whole.”
The debate will be hosted by Gordon Burns, former North West Tonight presenter and journalist.
Graham Stringer, MP for Blackley and Broughton, has criticised the proposals and will sit on the panel. He will be joined by Healthier Together champion and consultant Dr Chris Brookes.
