CARERS looking after relatives with dementia were given extra support at a training day.
Bolton Hospice held its first Dementia Carers Day as part of a new education programme.
The training event was aimed at increasing carers’ knowledge and confidence when dealing with dementia.
Sian Russell, palliative and end of life care educator at the hospice, said: “Bolton Hospice is committed to providing truly personalised care for people regardless of their diagnosis.
“We recognise that to do this we need to look at those closest to our patients and provide care across the community through support, training and education.”
