A CARING team from Bolton have been praised for their innovative work.
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust’s Acute Pain Team has been awarded the Acute Pain Team of the Year 2017 at the National Acute Pain Symposium (NAPS).
They were awarded for their work with maternity and radiology, and for their dementia pain assessment tool. Judges said the team’s work was both “innovative and forward thinking”.
Acute pain is most commonly seen after surgery or trauma and NAPS is the longest running acute pain meeting in the world.
