BOLTON Cancer Voices is looking for new members for its annual 'Jingle-Bell Sing-A-Long’.

The choir, whose members are all cancer patients and cancer survivors, is recruiting for the concert, which will take place on Saturday, December 2 at 6.45pm, in Victoria Hall, Bolton, with the Greater Manchester Police Band.

The invitation is open to anyone, aged over 18, who has received a cancer diagnosis at any point in their life, and to any hospital or community health care professional whose role partly or entirely involves treatment, care or support of cancer patients.

Singers must be able to attend four rehearsals, starting Monday, November 6 from 7.30pm to 9pm.

No previous choral experience or music reading abilities are required. Karen Elliott, chair of Bolton Cancer Voices said: “There may be cancer patients and cancer survivors who would like to give the choir a try before deciding on joining; this is the ideal opportunity to do just that.

“We are also keen to have healthcare professionals come along and stand shoulder to shoulder with us to experience the inspirational power of song and see for themselves what makes Bolton Cancer Voices so special.

“Everyone is identified by their first names only, no one will be distinguished as either patients or professionals. We just come together with a shared love of singing and for the chance to take part in a fantastic, family-friendly event.”
