A Bolton MP hosted a Parliamentary reception to celebrate the latest breakthroughs in cardiovascular research — including 3D-printed hearts.
Chris Green, who was previously an engineer in the health sector, was joined by fellow MPs, medical researchers and health practitioners from across the country.
The Bolton West MP said: “I was delighted to host this important event for British Heart Foundation, which does fantastic work in improving the lives of people with conditions such as diabetes and vascular dementia. We saw how researchers are developing innovative new technologies and research into heart repair, such as looking at the fish that can regenerate its damaged heart and 3D-printed hearts which could improve the treatment of children with congenital heart disease.
“It was an engaging event and a good chance for us to showcase the important world-class work that British Heart Foundation does.”
