BOLTON Hospice has created a 360-degree virtual tour of their newly refurbished facilities.

The tour enables people to look around the hospice including an inpatient bedroom and ensuite, family spaces, prayer and reflection facilities, the day unit and the beautiful Garden of Tranquillity.

Felicity Ransom, marketing manager at Bolton Hospice, said, “The virtual tour is a great way for people to have a look around our fantastic facilities here at the hospice. We know that for some people the word ‘hospice’ can be scary so we wanted to create something that helped people know what to expect when they come to the hospice for the first time.”

Bolton Hospice’s consultant-led team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide expert care at the hospice. They have an inpatient unit with 18 single rooms, provide planned day therapy for patients on four days a week and hold consultant-led outpatient clinics at the hospice every week.

It also provides creative therapy, complementary therapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, social work, 24-hour advice, spiritual care, a cancer information and support centre and has a hair and image service for patients and family members.

Mrs Ransom said: “So many of our families will tell us that before they came to the hospice they thought it would be all doom and gloom, but from the moment they stepped through the door, they realised the hospice was full of life and they felt warm, welcomed and like they were in a home from home.”

She added: “We created the tour so people everywhere could experience that for themselves and get a feel of the first class facility we are so lucky to have here in Bolton.”
