THE ambulance service is seeking the views of its youngest patients.

The North West Ambulance Service is inviting children, parents and carers to help shape the service's future.

NWAS is looking for children aged 5-15 and their parents/carers to get involved whether they have used an ambulance or not.

Please email your details to paediatrics@nwas.nhs.uk if you are interested.

Chris Preston, advanced paramedic, said: “We understand calling an emergency ambulance for your child is something that every parent hopes they will never have to do. If it does happen, it can be a scary time.

“Our dedicated crews are already brilliant at supporting young patients and their parents and carers, but we want to do everything we can to make sure a child’s experience is positive and empowering while we make sure they get the right care. That’s why we’re inviting them to get involved — an opportunity to chat at in an informal group will help us understand if there is anything we’ve not thought of.”
