OUR photographer was up bright and early to capture this scene at Bolton’s Trinity Street Station in 1970. It was taken at 7.30 in the morning and as the picture shows the platform was packed with holidaymakers waiting patiently for their trains to take them to various resorts around the country. Back then there were seaside special services to the all popular resorts in the North West.
