SALLY the cow helped a class of 14-year-olds understand their English lesson at Deane School in 1992. The two-month-old Pied Montes Cross was being used as a “visual aid” in a talk about cows by Gregory Fitton, of Moss Hill Farm, Chew Moor, Lostock, who was given Sally as a Christmas present. “He always volunteers for different things,” said his mum Margaret.
