A BOLTON rounders team has been hit for six — even before its season has started.
Thieves have thrown the season in jeopardy for the Eagley B team by stealing 16 bats and 12 balls.
The equipment was in an £18,000 Mitsubishi Shogun stolen from outside the Smithills home of team member Dawn Hindley.
Police recovered the car six weeks later in Leicester, but the bats and balls were missing.

STEVE Bromley had so much to celebrate on the day he announced his engagement, he did not know where to start.
And neither did his fiancee, Joanne Pilling.
Just hours before the couple’s engagement appeared in the Evening News, 19-years-old Steve passed his driving test. And when he and 18 years old Joanne went out to celebrate both happy events at a Whitefield nightspot they were bowled over with surprise when they won — a holiday for two in Paris!

THOSE who love good photographs have an opportunity of seeing a really fine collection at the annual exhibition of pictorial photographs held in the Victoria Hall under the auspices of the Bolton Camera Club. There will also be examples of the new direct colour photograph, which has been so well received during the past decade. It only remains now for someone to invent a process by which these beautiful pictures may be transferred to paper.
