CHRISTINE SAVAGE (nee DONNACHIE) says: I have been trying to find out the whereabouts of Ian Gordon for some time.
I knew him in the 60's and then met him very briefly in the early 70s, and the information I have is quite brief, but I'm hoping someone will know where he is.
I believe Ian was brought up in Croydon, then moved to Bolton with his mother and siblings, I think there were about six of them.
I seem to remember his grandmother living close to their house, which was in the Great Lever area of Bolton. We both worked in Manchester, around 1964-65, and we sometimes travelled there together by train, which were a great love of his.
His family did move to Australia sometime between 1965-66, but returned to England in the early 1970s.
At this time we ran into each other, but circumstances were not great at that time, so I again lost touch with him. I was under the impression his mother took over the corner shop at Dixon Green in Farnworth.
I would imagine Ian still has connections with the Railway community, especially the Railway Club on Green Lane.
He will be in his early 60s now and I'd love to find out if he is keeping well, if only for old times sake.
