Christine Travis (nee Daniels) says: I am looking for the family of my step-brother John Stead, he was a Sergeant in 114 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve and died aged 25 on August 12, 1941.
My mother was widowed and married John Stead Snr in 1952/52 and we then lived in Vincent Street, Bolton.
I have been doing the family tree, and as my stepfather was the only father I really knew I thought it would be nice if I could add his family as well.
I think John Junior had two sisters Agnes and Winifred, and a brother George who died at the age of 15.
John’s wife was called Rose and he had two daughters Maureen and Angela, and they were living in Farnworth at the time of his death.
If anyone can give me this information I would be very grateful.
