MARSDENS OF BOLTON

Pat Rutter of Hartlepool, asks: I would like to hear from anybody regarding the Marsden family of Bolton, especially any information about Richard Marsden, who married Elizabeth Entwisle in 1778, and then Mary Crook on August 1, 1802, in Bolton. Richard Marsden was my fifth great-grandfather.
My interest with the Marsdens started many years ago, as it is my middle name, and I wondered where it came from.
I have managed to trace it back to my four and five great grandfathers — both called Richard Marsden, the fourth was born in 1790 in Bolton, his parents being Richard Marsden and first wife Elizabeth Entwisle.
What I am hoping for is a connection between the above and the two Mayors of Bolton, Jeremiah and Peter Crook Marsden.
